Hello, Friends! I don’t have a recipe to share today because I’ve spent the last two weeks getting settled into our new HOME (yay!) and there’s been very little cooking going on here. Things are a bit more in order now, although we still can’t get both cars in the garage because of the stack of unpacked boxes. Anyway, I’m planning to try some new recipes over the weekend, so I’ll be back into a regular blogging routine beginning next week. In the meantime, I’d like to invite you on a little tour of my beautiful new kitchen where all the cooking and recipe testing for Life, Love, and Good Food will be taking place.
First, let me just say that never in a million years did I ever think I’d be cooking with these awesome appliances — God has certainly blessed me with a chef’s dream kitchen! The showpiece is the Viking Professional 4-burner gas range with griddle and convection oven. I’ve never owned a gas range before, but I’m quickly learning that it heats rapidly and I’m loving it!
Kitchen clean-up is a breeze with the sleek stainless steel farmhouse sink and two-drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher with adjustable racks.
I absolutely love the kitchen island and counter space, giving me more prep area. Eventually, we’ll add a couple of counter stools which will make this a great breakfast or conversation area when the cook’s in the kitchen. The refrigerator is a built-in Wolf Sub-Zero. Let me add that the condo’s previous owner certainly tricked out this kitchen space! Again, I’m still in shock!
The condo’s open concept design is accentuated by these large windows that allow in lots of light and a peek at the trees along our backyard. Our gathering table from the old house fits in perfectly (and is currently also my temporary desk until the study is furnished). Stay tuned — I promise to share something delicious next week!
