Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and cream the butter and white sugar. Once the mixture is light and fluffy, add the liquids. Add dry ingredients and mix, then add to bottom of the pan.
START THE BATTER
Toss chopped apples with brown sugar, cinnamon and pecans until well coated.
PREP THE APPLES
Sprinkle half the apples over the batter in the pan. Top with remaining batter, then the rest of the apples. Gently press on the apples so the top is mostly smooth.
LAYER IN THE PAN
Bake for 50-55 minutes or until golden. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then remove to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!
