With a delicious maple flavor, crispy bacon, and cake-like texture, Maple-Glazed Bacon Muffins are the ultimate breakfast treat or after dinner dessert. Best served warm with a cup of coffee, these bacon muffins are the perfect combination of salty & sweet.
GLAZE & TOPPING MIX
1 | Preheat the oven to 425 degrees
2 | Cream together butter, vegetable oil, and sugars
3 | Gently stir in eggs, baking powder, baking soda, salt, & vanilla
4 | Slowly add flour and milk
5 | Divide the batter, add bacon pieces in the center, & drizzle with syrup.
To avoid sticking, lightly coat the muffin pan with non-stick cooking spray and insert a paper cupcake liner.
To evenly divide the bacon, use a half slice of bacon per muffin.
The maple powdered sugar glaze is much easier to spread on the muffins if they are still a bit warm
Bacon baked right into the batter and crumbled on top of the glazed muffins give them a salty, savory taste that balances out the maple syrup-infused glaze. Trust me, these sweet and savory muffins get rave reviews every time!
"Sent these with my husband to his band breakfast this morning. They were loved by all—the perfect blend of savory & sweet!."
