Cast Iron Cherry-Berry Cobbler
Cast Iron Cherry-Berry Cobbler, a fruit-filled old-fashioned cobbler baked right on your grill inside a BakerStone Pizza Oven Box.
To bake in the pizza oven box:
Preheat grill and Bakerstone Pizza Oven on high for about 20 minutes until temperature gauge reaches the flame icon.
Pour butter into a large cast iron skillet.
In a medium size bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk until smooth. Pour over the butter in the skillet.
Add fruit to a separate bowl and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Toss gently to coat, then spoon the fruit evenly on top of the batter in the skillet.
Place cobbler into the pizza oven and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly. Serve immediately with ice cream, if desired.
To bake in kitchen oven:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place stick of butter in a 9x13 inch and melt in the oven while it is preheating.
In a medium size bowl, whisk together 1 cup flour, 1 cup sugar, and 1 cup milk until smooth. Once the butter is melted, remove the baking dish from the oven and pour over the batter on top.
Add fruit to a separate bowl and sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar. Toss gently to coat, then spoon the fruit evenly on top of the batter.
Return the baking dish to the oven and bake for 40-50 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
Serve immediately with ice cream, if desired.
This cobbler is best served warm.
