Braised Beef Short Ribs with Gnocchi

Classic comfort food at its best, this beef short rib dish is as tasty as those you’ll find at any fine restaurant and easier to prepare than you may think!


Bone-In Short Ribs




Tomato Paste

Beef Stock

Potato Gnocchi



Pat the beef short ribs dry with paper towels & season. Add to dutch oven to brown on all sides then transfer to a plate.


Drain all but 1 tablespoon of fat from the pot. Add the celery, carrots & onion then season. 


Stir in the tomato paste, then add red wine and beef stock. Bring to the boil, return ribs to the pot then cover and transfer to the oven.

Bake for 3 hours.  Serve the shredded short ribs and sauce on top of the gnocchi, and garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
