Preheat oven to 350°. Cut apples into thin slices. Be sure they are of even thickness to keep a consistent texture when baked.
PREP THE APPLES
In a large bowl, combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and pecans. Cut butter into small pieces and add to the flour mixture. Combine the mixture until you have coarse crumbs.
MAKE THE TOPPING
