Growing up in the South, I was taught hospitality meant offering a fresh cup of coffee and dessert to anyone who dropped in to visit. It didn’t matter if it was a simple pound cake or fruit cobbler, homemade cookies or brownies, or even homemade ice cream! What mattered was the sharing and laughing with family and friends.
